I recently visited a delightful coffee shop in Khon Kaen, Thailand, and it was a memorable experience. The shop boasts a charming Thai local style that immediately sets a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The traditional design elements, combined with modern touches, create a perfect blend of comfort and elegance. The highlight of my visit was the special Ice Passion Coffee. This unique beverage perfectly balanced the robust flavor of premium coffee with the refreshing taste of passion fruit. It was a delightful combination that I had never experienced before, and it left a lasting impression. The staff at the coffee shop were incredibly friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. They were knowledgeable about their menu and took the time to ensure that each customer felt welcome and satisfied. The seating arrangement is thoughtfully designed to cater to both individuals looking for a quiet corner to work and groups wanting to enjoy a leisurely chat. The ambient music and tasteful decor further enhance the relaxing vibe, making it an ideal spot to unwind. In summary, this coffee shop in Khon Kaen is a hidden gem. Whether you're a coffee enthusiast or just looking for a cozy place to relax, this spot is definitely worth a visit.

Cozy coffee shop located in central KK city. Just opened 4 months. The owner is really friendly. He introduced a lot about the history of this house to me. I cannot speak Thai. But he speaks English really fluently. So it’s definitely ok for foreigners to visit here. Their coffee shop name has Chinese is because the owner’s grandfather came from southern China many years ago. They also have some old stuff for show on second floor. This house is 65 years old. All made by wood. They renovate the house and make it as coffee shop. I recommend visitors could take off your shoes and come to their second floor. You could see the unique design here. Lots of places for people to take good photos. Even the toilet is a good place to take photos. I had match latter here. Good matcha tasting. :-)

a charming cafe that preserves the history and architecture of an old Chinese business in Khonkaen. The cafe is located in a renovated shophouse that dates back to over 80 years ago. The owner, is a descendant of the original owner who ran a grocery store in the same building. He decided to turn the place into a cafe and keep the original structure and design as much as possible. The cafe has a nostalgic atmosphere that transports you back to the past. The wooden furniture, the antique decorations, the old photos, and the vintage signs all add to the charm of the place. The cafe also has a small museum that displays some of the items and documents from the old grocery store. You can learn more about the history and culture of the Chinese community in Khonkaen and how they contributed to the development of the city. The cafe serves a variety of coffee and tea, as well as some snacks and desserts. I ordered a latte and a slice of cheesecake, which were both delicious and satisfying. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the service was fast and efficient. The prices were reasonable and the portions were generous. I enjoyed my time at Rak An Coffee and Cafe Khonkaen, and I would recommend it to anyone who loves coffee and history. It is a unique and cozy place that offers a glimpse into the past and a taste of the present. It is one of the best cafes in Khonkaen, and I will definitely visit again.

This was my first visit to this coffee shop. It is owned by a lovely couple that I know well and I have to admit they have done a really good job in the look and feel of the place. There is even an upstairs seating area. The style I would have to call traditional Thai/ Chinese with lots of wood and knick knacks. I had a hot espresso which was rather good, not bitter at all. The cake they sell are fairly standard for Thai coffee shops and tasted just fine. It was quite busy on the day I visited which meant it wasn't a relaxing coffee but that is not really a negative. My only bugbear was the order ready alarms that were given to each customer when making an order, their beeping alarms got a bit annoying after some time. That may just be me though... The staff and owners are really nice and friendly, I would recommend giving it a try.

One of the best cafes I've been to - anywhere! Excellent friendly service; top quality coffee (I had great espressos on consecutive days, plus their iced espresso); a range of sandwiches and filled croissants (ham, spinach and cheese toasted sandwich was excellent) and a good array of cakes (their special cake is a very good Thai tea cake). Excellent wifi. Finally, the venue is a very tastefully renovated two-story traditional Chinese house, creating a lovely relaxing environment. Unlike some venues in this city, prices are reasonable given the quality of product.

Good enough just for the coffee. Better because the coffee is served inside a beautifully renovated and updated shophouse. Don't miss the story behind the shop in the breezeway behind the shop. I loved it and will be back.
